Fifteen Years of Building Connections

Palarts.org is operated by MENA Links, a business registered in Ontario, Canada, which has been in business since 2010.

For the past 15 years, MENA Links has worked in areas including digital marketing, website development, e-commerce, training, and support for artists, artisans, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other organizations.

Palarts.org builds on this experience and brings it into the world of Palestinian art.

We understand that talented artists need more than a place to display their work. They need opportunities to reach new audiences, connect with buyers and organizations, develop professional relationships, and generate income from their creative work.

That is why we see Palarts.org as more than an online store.

Artistic professionals in the Occupied Palestinian Territories navigate a stark economic reality. According to data from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), university graduate unemployment regularly exceeds 50%, reaching as high as 85% in severely isolated areas like Gaza. Systemic market fragmentation, movement restrictions, and limited institutional funding mean that even world-class Palestinian visual artists and painters face severe structural hardship. PalArts.org exists to transform this reality. More than an online showcase, we serve as a vital economic bridge—connecting exceptional local talent directly with global collectors, buyers, and institutions to turn artistic vision into a sustainable livelihood.

Through painting, drawing, photography, digital art, and other creative forms, artists create their own visual languages and share their perspectives with the world.

We believe that strong relationships with artists should be built on respect, clarity, and transparency.

Artists should understand how their work is presented and marketed, how sales are processed, how they are compensated, and what rights they retain.

As outlined in the Palarts.org planning document, artist relationships should address issues such as artwork presentation, marketing, compensation, licensing, image use, commissions, attribution, and other relevant rights and responsibilities. The underlying principle is that artists retain rights they have not expressly granted.

Our goal is to build a platform that respects artists as creative professionals and supports their ability to build visibility, opportunities, audiences, and sustainable income.
