Where Am I Going? by Aziz Bouzekri is a powerful reflection on Palestine and the human tragedy of Gaza. A Palestinian woman wearing the traditional keffiyeh walks through a landscape of shattered buildings while carrying an enormous burden on her head. Above her, birds cross an otherwise empty sky, offering an unsettling image of freedom against a landscape of destruction. The Arabic words “Where am I going?” express the profound uncertainty of a people facing displacement, loss, and the destruction of their homes. Through satire and symbolism, Bouzekri transforms one woman's journey into a universal image of Palestinian endurance, grief, identity, and the search for a place to belong.
